Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection

³¹ And he began to teach them that it was necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise. ³² And he was speaking openly about the subject, and Peter took him aside and^[a] began to rebuke him. ³³ But turning around and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan, because you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but the things of people!”
